    Google celebrates Prof. Kanō Jigorō Birthday through Doodle Slideshows in Google Search Home Page! on Thursday, October 28 (Today) for his 161st Birthday. He was the founder/father of Judo. Judo means, "The Gentle Way". This sport is built based on such as Justice, Safety, Modesty, and Courtesy.


Who is Dr Kanō Jigorō?

    Judo founder, Jigorō Kanō was an educator and a visionary who started jiu-jitsu to develop his strength, Kano founded The Kodokan in 1882 and became the first Asian member of the International Olympic Committee.

In Early days, 

    Born in October, 1860 in Mikage (Now Kone), Kanō Jigorō moved to Tokyo with his father at 11. Even though he eas known as a wiz child in Schoo;, he felt some difficluties.

Tp become strong, he decided to learn Martial Arts of Jujutsu. During his time period as a student at Tokyo University, he finally found a master who would teach him Jujutsu, he was Samurai Fukuda Hachinosuke
